The function and working principle of current fuse

1、 The role of the fuse:

1. Under normal circumstances, the fuse acts as a connection circuit in the circuit.

2. In the case of abnormal (overload) conditions, the fuse is used as a safety protection element in the circuit to safely cut off and protect the circuit through its own fuse.

2、The working principle of the fuse:

When the fuse is energized, the heat converted by the electrical energy causes the temperature of the fusible body to rise. When the normal working current or the allowable overload current passes, the heat generated is radiated to the surrounding environment through the fusible body and the outer shell, and the heat dissipated by convection, conduction, etc. gradually balances with the heat generated. If the heat generated is greater than the heat dissipated, the excess heat will gradually accumulate on the fusible body, causing the temperature of the fusible body to rise; when the temperature reaches or exceeds the melting point of the fusible body, the meltable body will melt and fuse. Cut off the current and play the role of safety protection circuit.
